Storefront Salvations
In the heart of the Bronx, where Dominican culture pulses through the streets and Spanish echoes from apartment windows, a remarkable story of resilience and divine purpose is unfolding. Daniela Salcedo, a recent cancer survivor, stands as a testament to God’s transformative power, launching Jesús is the Way FMC with a vision that transcends personal struggle.
Working at a local bodega, Daniela’s journey began not in renown theological seminaries, but in the intimate spaces of community – an upper room church that started with family, neighbors, and a simple invitation. Her first gathering on October 20, 2024, drew 30 passionate souls seeking connection, hope, and spiritual renewal.
From a one-day Encounter training to launching public services in the bodega’s basement, Daniela’s ministry embodies grassroots evangelism. Guided by mentors like Pastor Carlixta Dominguez Romero and Regional Superintendent Pastor Joel Guzman, she’s building more than a church – she’s cultivating a spiritual family.
Her short-term vision is clear: relocate public services within six months and expand to ten home-based upper room gatherings. But the true impact lies beyond numbers – it’s about creating spaces where faith is lived, shared, and experienced authentically.
Pray for Jesús is the Way FMC. Support their mission of discipleship in the Bronx. Every prayer and financial contribution helps build God’s kingdom, one community at a time.
