A Door Opens in Latin America

By Ruth Egipciaco

On September 18–19, 2026, an unforgettable Encounter Weekend took place in Guatemala, marking a significant moment for leaders across Latin America. Pastor David Greene from CRI extended the invitation for CDN to host a training designed to equip and strengthen regional leaders for a new season of ministry impact for Kingdom Multiplication.

Approximately 100 people gathered for the training, representing Nicaragua, Honduras, Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador. The room reflected both unity and expectancy, as leaders from different nations came together with a shared desire to be formed, equipped, and sent.

Training, Connection, and Commissioning

Pastor Ruthie Egipciaco and Pastor Javier Mendoza had the privilege of facilitating the Encounter, guiding the participants through a time of teaching, activation, and spiritual renewal. The environment was filled with God’s Manifest Presence, creating space for transformation, clarity, and fresh commitment among those who attended.

Throughout the weekend, more than information was shared. New relationships were formed, networks were established, and leaders began to see how the Encounter could serve as a catalyst for their own churches, cities, and nations. What began as a training became a moment of connection and commissioning.

Seeds for New Movements

By the end of the weekend, invitations had already begun to emerge for future Encounters in several of the represented countries. Conversations opened the door for new training centers to be established, and many churches were conceived as leaders imagined what God could build through obedient and equipped communities.

There are also plans to begin work in Belize and Argentina, extending the reach of the Encounter vision even further. The momentum from Guatemala made it clear that this was not simply a weekend event, but the beginning of a broader movement across Latin America.

A Lasting Testimony

The Encounter Weekend in Guatemala stands as a testimony of invitation, unity, and divine purpose. Leaders were trained, connections were established, and nations were stirred with possibility. Most importantly, the weekend carried the unmistakable mark of God’s presence, reminding everyone involved that when He gathers His people, He also sends them with vision, authority, and hope.
